Effulgent flower, is a set of copper snake's chain with a pendant and bracelet.
Parts with I needed to make this project:
- 3 large chocolate brown stones with flashes on it
- jade colored, size: 6mm and 4mm
- copper:tip, circles, snake chain and snap hook
- Toho beads
- waxed cord and natural leather strap
- braided fibers made of colorful threads
- soutache: two shades of orange color, brown, chocolate brown, green, gold
- soft felt, sewing elastic fishing wire, two-component adhesive - Poxipol colorless
In the beginning I've chosen the best colors of other components which are suitable for chosen stones. Size of stone which I used in the pendant is max: 23mm x 30mm, and the other which are in bracelet, both of them, has size : 22mm x 19mm. Stone has been surrounded by braided fibers made of colorful threads and by Soutache. On one site has been enriched by natural leather tapes. After that I added stones to create the right design - as You can see on the pictures. Almost at the end of process leather stripes has been sewn so to prepare special catch for copper circles and copper snake's chain.
Effulgent flower has been protected by soft felt on the back site to using special glue - two-component adhesive - Poxipol colorless. It fixed them together.
Why Poxipol? I already used some different glues to fixed jewelry and this one in my opinion and for me is very good. This one glue tied very quickly and different material (f.i. stones, felt). Don't need to wait so long time. But there is one small disadvantage - I have to mixed together two components of Poxipol on small tray and after that I can glue two things.
Flower in the bracelet has been changed a little. The flower petals has been spread out next to each other, which are supported by copper "snake's chain". Further along the chain is attached braid made of waxed twine. On the both site end of the end of bracelet I used copper components, to keep the same design as in collar / necklace.
On the picture here below You can see bracelet: spread out in all its glory, buckled - side view, buckled - on the back site/contact with skin. On the back site only few places has been finished by soft felt, to give maximum comfort of wearing it.
One more picture on which You can view bracelet and necklace - so, it looks like the other part / back side. Here You can also compare snap hooks used in both part of this set. Necklace has larger size than bracelet. Is used this because of comfort of wearing it. Of-course each is made of copper.
